Son of Lena Marziale and Nuncy F Bonano. Brother of Mrs Marie Sullivan and Ferdinand Bonano. Grandson of Getrude Miller and Frank Bonano. Also survived by 11 grandchildren. Age 49 years. Dominica "Marie" Bonano Sullivan, born 1939 in Metairie, La., passed peacefully in Pine Bush, New York on Sunday, June 28, 2020. She was predeceased by her parents, Nuncio Bonano and Lena Marzellie; brother, Frank Bonano, Sr. Survived by brother, Ferdinand Bonano. Dominica was a loving wife of John J. Sullivan's (2006), loving mother of three daughters, Toni Benefiel, Joan Pearson and Dawn Sullivan; grandmother of Shantel, Samantha, Elizabeth, Allison, Brett and Abigail; great-grandmother to Ralph, Seth, Michael, and Daniel. She was a graduate of Robion High School class of 1958. Graduate of Delgado College in 1977 with an Associate Degree in Accounting. She loved to cook family meals, loved the mountains and was able to spend her last days overlooking them. Marie was a kind person always thinking of other's well being. Even when her time of passing was near, she was worried about everyone else and tried to comfort them. She will be missed by family, friends and neighbors. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, on Monday, July 13, 2020 at 9:00 am, followed by an Eastern Star Service at 10:30 am, then a Catholic Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. | |

BONANO Gregory J. Bonano passed away on Friday, January 31, 2014 at the age of 54. Beloved husband of Kim Bonano, son of Rita Lapara and the late Frank Bonano, Sr., father of Michael Bonano (Annie), Kellie Underwood (Ricky), and step-son Michael Dupre (Jaime), brother of Cynthia Lee (William), Frank Bonano, Jr. (Victoria), Elizabeth Haik (Richard), and Glenn Bonano, Sr. (Barilyn). Also survived by 4 grandchildren: Andre, Sophia, Isiah, Roman, and many nieces and nephews. He was a native of New Orleans and resident of Bay Saint Louis for the past 22 years. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial from Westside LEITZ-EAGAN, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, Louisiana, on Monday Afternoon, February 3, 2014. Visitation will begin at 10:00 in the morning. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery, Gretna. | |
